Distance Bushings
Overview
Powder metal distance bushings are offering good precision with low costs. Moreover GKN can offer tailored material choice even for applications requiring high corrosion resistance.
The outer contour can be specially designed to prevent radial twisting of the bearing. This technique is often applied when the bushing is overmoulded with plastics (e.g. in PC fan motors). Distance bushings can be coated with various compounds upon customer request, e.g. in order to improve the corrosion resistance.
